What It Smells Like

Rhinoceros opens with an assertive combination of whisky, rum, coffee and pink pepper. The alcoholic notes create a warm, boozy impression, while the coffee adds a dark, roasted bitterness. Pink pepper introduces a sharp, spicy lift, and basil contributes an aromatic green edge that cuts through the richness. The opening can feel forceful and slightly abrasive, with a dense, almost resinous quality beneath the liquor-like warmth. Rather than smelling like a sweet cocktail, it evokes spirits poured into a well-worn leather setting, surrounded by tobacco and dark woods.
