I started this business because of a frustration I think many of you know well: I wanted to try specific perfumes, but I simply couldn't get my hands on them. Everything I was desperate to try, was either locked away in a different country that didn't ship here, or it was so "niche" that no mainstream store bothered to stock it. And let’s be honest, the alternative was blind-buying, and I wasn't willing to spend £300 on a perfume if I didn't know that I liked smelling like a blood-soaked bandage in a military hospital.

My Philosophy: A Cabinet Built for Exploration

I wanted to create the shop I couldn't find myself. I decided to build the Cabinet of Perfumed Curiosity of my dreams. It is a place where fragrance isn't about status or exclusivity, but about the joy of trying something new without the risk. Whether you want to test the newest gourmand release, Reddit's indie darling or brave the scent memory of someone's childhood trauma, my goal is the same: to make interesting perfume accessible.

Why I Do It

I don’t believe in "niche" as a gatekeeper. I believe in discovery as an invitation. My cabinet isn't reserved for the most expensive bottles; it is reserved for the scents that are the most interesting to me. Whether it's a beautiful ambery vanilla or a perfume inspired by Italy's first female serial killer.

The Perfume Apothecary is a collection curated to save you from "blind buying" your 10th gourmand vanilla that promises to be different or the strange, weirdly inappropriatly shaped bottle that you low-key kind of want to smell. I do the work of sourcing and sampling so that you can explore, experiment, and find your signature scent without the stress.

Thank you for visiting The Perfume Apothecary.

I hope you find something in my cabinet that piques your curiosity.
