Incense runs through all three stages of the composition, creating a continuous thread rather than a fragrance built around dramatic changes.
The opening combines incense with black spruce and cypress, creating a cool, aromatic, coniferous character. Elemi contributes a bright, resinous quality, while the hostia accord introduces an unusual baked, wafer-like facet. The overall impression balances forest freshness with the first traces of church-like smoke.
As the fragrance develops, frankincense and myrrh deepen the resinous character.
