What It Smells Like
Shire opens with a soft combination of aromatic lavender, herbal tea and bergamot over warm oats and sweet hay. The opening has a distinctly rustic quality, with the herbal and grassy facets keeping the sweetness from immediately becoming a straightforward gourmand.
As it develops, honey and hazelnut become more prominent, giving the oatmeal and hay a richer, warmer character. The seed cake accord adds a gently sweet, grainy gourmand quality, while jasmine and orris provide subtle floral and powdery facets underneath.
