What It Smells Like
Fanghorn II opens with the rich, sticky aroma of silver fir and freshly crushed pine needles. The coniferous character is deep and natural rather than sharp or traditionally "pine-scented", creating the immediate impression of standing among living evergreens after a cool morning rain.
As the fragrance develops, moss and lichen begin to emerge, adding a damp, green texture to the composition. The fresh coniferous notes are softened by the earthy character of the forest floor, giving the fragrance a sense of both new growth and older, established woodland.
During the dry down, wet soil and damp vegetation become increasingly prominent.
