What It Smells Like

Dragon's Blood opens with a dark, smoky combination of Omani frankincense, cedar and rosewood, with coriander adding a dry aromatic spice. The frankincense is particularly prominent, creating the immediate impression of burning resin and incense rather than a bright or traditionally floral fragrance.

As it develops, the Dragon's Blood resin moves into the centre of the composition alongside Rose de Mai. The resin gives the fragrance a warm, balsamic and slightly leathery character, while the rose adds a darker floral facet rather than turning it into a conventional rose perfume. Wearers commonly describe this stage as smoky, woody and distinctly gothic.
