What It Smells Like

Wet Garden opens with the unmistakable impression of a garden immediately after heavy rain. There is a cool, watery freshness alongside green leaves, young shoots and damp vegetation. Demeter describes the setting specifically as an English garden at Easter, filled with early spring flowers and new growth after an April downpour. 

As it develops, the floral character becomes more noticeable.
