What It Smells Like
Lychee Lacquer opens with a bright, juicy burst of lychee alongside the distinctive sharpness of a nail-polish accord. The result is immediately fruity but with an unusual glossy, slightly chemical edge. Early wearer reactions suggest that the balance varies considerably, with some finding the nail-polish effect extremely literal and others experiencing mostly sweet lychee with only a subtle varnish quality.
As it develops, rose and jasmine absolute emerge around the lychee, giving the fragrance a sheer floral character while retaining its juicy fruitiness. The florals keep the composition from becoming purely fruity, creating the impression of a bright, polished fruity floral rather than a straightforward lychee fragrance.
The dry down brings vanilla and musk forward, softening the sharper nail-polish effect. The fragrance becomes smoother and more traditionally perfumery-like, although the lacquer impression can remain around the edges.
